Pep Guardiola is keen to bring Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele to Manchester City, according to reports from France.

The 21-year-old midfielder starred as Lyon beat City in the Champions League last month, with his dominant display in the center of midfield reportedly piquing Guardiola’s interest.L’Equipe report Guardiola has urged City bosses to make a move for the Lyon starlet, with the Spaniard seeing him as a direct replacement for Fernandinho.
The Brazilian midfielder is contracted at City until 2020, however, at 33, Guardiola is keen to line up a replacement sooner rather than later.

Ndombele, 21, spent last season on-loan with Lyon from Amiens, with his performances earning him a permanent move during the summer.This season, the midfielder has already registered four assists in just eight games, is reportedly in line for his first call-up to the senior France side.
